It’s been an unprecedented week, both in terms of market volatility and with all that is changing rapidly as a result of COVID-19. Current headlines paint a picture of a world where uncertainty and fear are the dominant themes. There is no shortage of questions surrounding COVID-19 and how it has the potential to touch all aspects of our lives – personal and professional. Over the past week, I have talked to or heard from many of our clients. Like you, they have questions about what is going on around us, so I thought I would write to you directly to share my thoughts and outline the actions we, at Kibog, are taking to maintain availability of our services as we navigate through this environment.
First and foremost, I want you to know that our team is here to help. We have plans in place to ensure our services are available. We have a business continuity plan, which leverages our global network to ensure our services and support will continue to be provided.
Protecting our team and their family – Our team takes care of you, and we are committed to taking care of them and their family. As such, we have advised our teams to work from home and play our part in containing the further spread of the virus.
We may shift or delay some initiatives/projects temporarily. As this situation evolves and we focus on limiting social contact to contain the further spread of this virus, I would like to raise awareness once again of the global nature of our team and their commitment to maintaining the availability of our service. As our team works from home, some may fall ill and will need to take time off to recover or depending on where they are, internet speeds may not be as reliable as they are in an office environment. As such, our plan is based on a reduced availability of our team members and we will be prioritizing service availability and support related tasks. Hence, we expect delays to our current initiatives/projects. Work on these initiatives/projects will continue, but at a slower pace than planned. We will revisit timelines as the situation starts to turn for the better.
We are committed to providing you with the best service and support possible during this uncertain time. As this situation evolves, we will continue to be prudent and will never compromise on doing the right thing for you, our team members and the communities we live and work in.
